Slow Cooker Beef Barbacoa

I do little deviations from recipe, but stick to the basics, ie. chile, spicy tangy w/touch of sweetness, measurements, timing, etc..I used 3 different chile/peppers 🌢🌢🌢 guajillo, ancho & chipotle, Hatch New Mexico chile…oops, that’s 4 🀭; use what you have, but those add smokey fruity flavor with little heat; okay…depending on your tolerance πŸ˜€ We use this beef for tacos, nachos, bowls,burritos…or straight on a fork! πŸ˜‹ You can see a little of my differences in pics. We LOVE the flavor of orange 🍊 πŸ˜‹ balanced with a little lime or lemon πŸ‹ because that’s the trees I have 🌳 πŸ˜‰

Still used brown sugar AND a touch of honey 🍯

I would use lime, but I have a tree full of lemons πŸ‹ πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Sweet Hawaiian tortillas? Can’t hurt.

I do season meat good before searing; S/P, sweet smoky seasoning, Goya Adobo seasoning

If on a diet, coconut palm sugar and no tortillas. Many options still, besides straight up with fork, there’s lettuce wraps, fill squash…of any kind! I like zucchini and acorn.
