Adapted from a recipe I found on Dixie Crystal’s website, great products, and RECIPES π

I did lay my ham face down in pan π AND I made my own brown sugar, which I like heavy with the molasses. As you can see from the pictures below, I served this one with potato salad π Damn delicious ham, AND potato salad.

Make glaze in saucepan. When I don’t have years, I substitute other fruit, like oranges are good π pineapple is too π

“This gorgeously glazed ham will be the star of your holiday spread. It has a perfectly sweet candied outside with soft spiced pears to serve on the side.” And that it does! It’s delicious.

- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon all spice
- 1 (8 to 10 pound) spiral sliced smoked ham
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 325Β°F. Place ham in roasting dish, set aside.
- In a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat, combine pears (with juice), dark brownΒ sugar, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, pepper and all spice. Bring to a lowΒ boil for 10 minutes, until slightly thickened.
