Budget Meals

I know! Me?! 😆 I do, I do…sometimes. Now, with more reading of The Minimalist (along with current administration/nut house causing inflation…out of control…within 6 months‼️), I decided to do more, so not only did I make the usual good meals from Thanksgiving leftovers, but I’ve been shopping at the dollar store (weigh quality, quantity, price) before I head over to grocery store; no extra gas because they’re across the street from each other. One thing new was with chili hot dogs 🌭 I didn’t go with Boar’s Head or Dietz & Watson, not even Hebrew National or Nathan’s; no I went with Oscar Mayer bun length for $2.99. AND Wonder Bread buns! 🤭 generic french fries, homemade brown gravy, and it was all good! 👍 😋

Another day I used the rest of candied sweet potatoes with skinless chicken thighs (that I can get a very delicious crispy outside on 😉) & twice baked potatoes.

Yet another I made Dirty Rice as our entrée; it’s enough for us.

Others…like homemade pizzas 🍕 😉 with flatbread 🫓 😋

Spaghetti… I usually use Hunts, if not Cento, BUT I tried dollar store Spaghetti & cheapest tomato paste, etc.. It was good, with some doctoring 😉 GARLIC 🧄 seasonings.

Shepherd’s Pie is always good 😋

Don’t forget sloppy joes 😋

Chicken Soup! 🐔

I do love linen 😆 yet not ironing 🧺
