Shaved Beef Stir Fry Recipe – Running to the Kitchen®

Note: it is good if the recipe at the link is followed. Although, taste throughout. I make this often, and I’ve posted it a couple of times, but I’m sharing another blogger’s recipe 😉 That said, as usual, I ended up doctoring up or tweaking recipe to our taste 🤭 Why do I do this? 😆 Well, it’s to offer up a recipe because I don’t measure 😜 I ended up doubling the sauce. We like saucy… for the rice. Although we still add Coconut Aminos (and Sriracha) to our own servings. Taste. I used a mix of soy sauce and coconut aminos. Adjust brown sugar to balance it out. Along with minced garlic and ginger, I also used a little garlic powder and ground ginger. A splash each of toasted sesame oil (notice I skipped sesame seeds on top; daughter doesn’t care for that either 🙄) and mirin. A glug 🫣 of oyster sauce. TASTE. I simmered that in a little sauce pan for a couple of minutes or until it thickens a little. Left on warm back burner. I let the beef marinate about an hour before cooking, on counter. It cooks better if allowed to reach toom temperature. Then I sprinkled corn starch on meat, lightly tossing it. In hot wok with a splash of avocado oil, I seared steak shavings. Set aside. Tossed broccoli in wok. Added a couple of tablespoons of water, tossed, and covered for a minute. Added beef back in wok and tossed. Added sauce to beef and broccoli and tossed a minute. Done ✔️ and delicious 😋

Just to note 📝 although we’ll use most brands, we like the brand Old Neighborhood Shaved Steak ⤵️

This brand isn’t as shredded up; not as much small tangled pieces; this one is more in “sheets”, if you will.
