Smash Burger Tacos

SMASH BURGER TACOS ๐ŸŒฎ ๐Ÿ˜‹ –

Video at bottom of this post –ย  I tried something new ๐Ÿค” I saw a recipe for smash burger tacos using ground chicken, I had ground beef, and looking at a previous post where my granddaughter made Chicken Caesar Tacos, I just went by that, but changed to low fat ground beef, with burger toppings. It turned out good. It works for me because I don’t really like buns much, and I like all tacos ๐Ÿ˜œ It made for a change up in routines. We are going to make these again tomorrow with ground chicken. Added to the bottom of this post. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got all toppings ready (mise en place), including caramelized onions and mushrooms. Then, in a bowl, I mixed seasoning into ground beef with Redmond Real Salt, fresh cracked black pepper, and garlic powder. Spread meat thinly on taco size flour tortilla, I pressed on shredded cheddar cheese with the first one to see how that worked (which ended up being the one I took ๐Ÿ˜‰), and place meat side down in medium hot frying pan. Cook long enough for meat to cook through by peeking now and then using a spatula, then flipped over just long enough to slightly toast tortilla. The cheese turned out well. I topped mine with usual burger toppings; mustard, ketchup, dill relish (we didn’t have pickles; make it work ๐Ÿคญ), tomato, lettuce, a little onion and mushroom. YUM ๐Ÿ˜‹ My daughter went with frying it without cheese, then added Muenster cheese when she flipped it over, putting cover on for a minute. Then added toppings of Japanese mayo, mustard, ketchup, onion, and mushrooms. Fold it like a taco and enjoy.
