I’ve been making this for over 50 years, so I don’t need a recipe, but… I thought I’d share this one. I like Sam the Cooking Guy that being said, I did a couple of things differently. I did not use soy sauce, nor Asian noodles*, and I cooked my chicken in broth, then took it out, let the dark meat cool a little bit, enough to handle (although, just like his style, I couldn’t wait so it was HOT! 🤭), tore it up and added it back into broth.

Because I cooked my chicken in broth, I had to skim foamy “stuff” off the top as it cooked, in the beginning 😉


Then it’ll be clear 🍲 😋


Add more parsley on top, optional 😉🍃

*Note –
I had choices for noodles. But nobody was home to get a say or vote… or to sway me toward one over others. Fideo was just too small, but the Asian are VERY long 🤔 Sooo… went with linguini, broken into about 2 inches long. That was a better size than Fideo, and I just didn’t know how the Asian noodles would go over. I settled for the middle ground. And for anyone who wants to know, the linguini ends up the size noodles you get in Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup. THEN my granddaughter arrives and responds with “Oh! Grandma! Asian noodles would’ve been so GOOD!” 🙄 Next time 🤣 She still said it was delicious 😍
