‘Pulling ingredients out and then figuring out what to do with them, or being in the mood for a particular taste and venturing to make a dish with it, is my kind of fun. Just like I rely on cookbooks and new recipes to get me out of cooking ruts, I sometimes need to go recipe-free to spark my sense of creativity. So, some days you’ll find me in the kitchen following a recipe from a new or a beloved, cookbook, and some days when asked “what’s for lunch”, I’ll reply, “I’m not sure, but it will be ready in about 30 minutes”.”

“Going from following recipes to doing more “on the fly” cooking where you start by pulling one thing from the fridge or pantry and just go from there can seem daunting. But cooking from cookbooks makes for being a lifelong learner, and sometimes you have to turn away to find out how much you yourself now know.”

Sometimes I’m into it, other times… I’m throwing something together 😜 I have been getting lazier the last couple of years 🤭 It’s easier when I live alone 🫣 but family is what matters. 🥰
I’m now all about EASY. There are days I’m into it. It is what it is; as long as we eat.
