Spicy Sesame Meatballs

Easy recipe with frozen meatballs. And delicious
What to do with frozen meatballs? When I get a good deal, I keep some in my freezer. Great for when I don’t feel like cooking 😜 Of course, you can make homemade.
Whisk  sauce ingredients (below) together in bowl and set aside.
Bake meatballs as directed on package, then transfer to slow cooker on high. Pour Asian flavored sauce over meatballs, carefully fold sauce into meatballs; a silicone spatula works great! Allow flavors to simmer together for at least 15-20 minutes, change to lowest setting to keep warm. Can be an appetizer, or… we made it, along with a salad, for dinner. 😋 That’s enough for us.
Some ingredients are optional or okay if you don’t have it; like oyster sauce, ginger/garlic paste, or hot sauce/red pepper flakes can spice it up in place of chili crisp. 🌶 “If” you want it spicy.

SPICY ASIAN SAUCE INGREDIENTS:

• 2/3 cup hoisin sauce

• 1/4 cup rice vinegar

• 2 garlic cloves, minced

• 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

• 1 tsp. sesame oil

• 1 tsp. ground ginger

• 1 Tbsp. Spicy Chili Crisp/a chili crunch sauce

• 1 Tbsp. Ginger/Garlic paste

• 1 tsp. Oyster sauce

• Pinch of brown sugar, to taste

Taste sauce throughout, adjust to your liking… balance 😋

Enough to make 2 recipes from this “party size” bag.
Just the right size, for what we wanted this time 😉

Toasted sesame seeds

I highly recommend getting chili crisp or something similar; that stuff is good on everything. A savory crunchy hot sauce.

Fresh salad 🥗 of lettuce, cucumber, radish, green onion, shaved Italian cheese (parm, asiago & Romano) 🧀
Oh… and BACON 🥓 😋

A fresh crisp salad, with cucumbers and a creamy dressing, made a perfect pairing for me; it helped me get through the spice 🌶🥒🥬🥗 because, due to my family liking everything SPICY, I added extra chili sauce.
